Highland Folk Museum – in 2010 we will continue weaving the Homecoming cloth at the township on 10th, 11th and 12th August.

|
Margaret Fryer has been weaving for over 20years and has been demonstrating weaving on our 16th century replica loom at the township for the past 10 seasons. This year Margaret has designed a “homecoming tartan” for the Highland Folk Museum and visitors can see the cloth been woven (see activity programme for dates) and also purchase specially designed bags in our shop. Every bag will have a piece of the cloth as part of the design. The bags are being made by a local designer “Diva Designs”. This small company prides itself in using quality cloth woven in Scotland. We will initially have three different styles of bag incorporating the cloth in different ways, and if we do not have the bag you wish to purchase at the time of your visit we will be able to take pre-paid orders.
