A 19 minute dvd sets the scene for the 3-5hr visit, and also shows visitors the scenery and other cultural centres to visit within the Cairngorm National Park.

The café theme is based on the story of "shinty" and visitors can learn more about the sport from the story boards displayed around the café walls. The café provides visitors with hot and cold snacks, cakes, refreshments and offers a take-away service for picnics.

There are two picnic areas on site with views overlooking the Cairngorm mountains.

The shop has a range of items for sale relating to the museum visit and to suit all customers.

The children's play area has equipment suitable for toddlers and teenagers alike.

A period bus runs the length of the mile long site.

Toilets are situated at the main reception and farm areas.

Dogs: Although we only allow guide dogs on site, there is a an area at reception which is fenced off and has shelter and water provided to enable visitors to leave their dogs when they visit the Museum.
